From the Douro Superior in northern Portugal, Castello d’Alba Red is an elegant yet expressive red wine crafted from classic Douro grape varieties. The vineyards are planted on schist soils in terraced slopes with southern exposure, at an average altitude of approximately 400 meters above sea level. Careful maceration & temperature-controlled fermentation preserve varietal character & freshness, resulting in a wine that balances aromatic intensity, structure, & finesse.
